No seriousz injuries were reported onthe shopping-center but a man in a nearbt neighborhood who was trying to take pictures reportedlty was hospitalized with unspecified serious injuries, accordinyg to news reports.
A Southlands spokeswoma told CBS4 most ofthe center'as stores will be closed Monday to allow for continued damagw assessment. She said customers should call individual stores to verift whether they are closedor open. which opened in 2006, is the Denvef area's largest shopping center by retail at 1.7 million square feet. It consistes of several freestanding buildings connectee by pedestrian corridorsand streets. The complex is ownedc by Granite Southlands Town Centet LLC and managed by Forest City Commercia lManagement Inc. Four other tornadoes were spotted north and east of DenveSunday afternoon, and baseball-sized hail strucjk some areas.
As many as 3,000 customerss were without power for a time in parts of Aurorazand Centennial. .
