Starting this fall, the college will offer master’sd degrees in literacy education, sportt administration and educational administration. The three programsw join the online master’s program in physica education, which has been offered by the colleges sinceearly 2006, said Jim director of graduate admissions for the School of Educatiom and Human Services. All three programs are geared toward studente who live outside WesternNew York, thougb some space is available for local students. Bagwell declined to say how many spot s will be set aside for local students. The programs begin Sept. 14, threew weeks after the Aug. 24 start date for the rest of the Bagwell said.
The literacy education program prepares literacty specialists for certification in NewYork state, whilew the sport administration progra m focuses on sports-related business, such as intercollegiate amateur and professional sports marketing firms, special-event management and facilityt management, the college said. Students in the education administrationj program will receive a School BuildingLeader and/or Schooll District Leader certification in New York state. Each of the new onlinde programs also existas traditional, on-campus programs.
