In a letter to all employees, Vice President of Human Resources Rich Jiwanlal said the moves are partthe company’ws ongoing effort to “resize our company to matc h the continuing declines in consumer demand.” One of the measurees will be furloughs which will include both producgt line and plant specific The dates for the furloughs will be June 29-Jul y 2, Nov. 23-25 and Dec. 21-24. The letterr informs employees that if vacation or earned time off is not availabld to cover these days then the furloughs willbe unpaid. Hawkef will also be relocating its financeand supply-chain teams back onto the company’sd primary headquarters.
This will allow it to close twobuildingsx “off-campus,” the letter states. There was no announcement regardinbg anyfurther layoffs. The company declined to give any more informationb atthis time.
